Introducing Rascal & Princess Lee

These two not-so-innocent looking puppies are part of the reason why i haven't been blogging much lately. My aunt's dog gave birth to four little puppies in February 22, 2011. Two males & two females and they're a mix breed of Terrier, Spitz & Poodle. 

My brother and i dog-napped two of them a couple weeks ago and the other two are still waiting to be adopted. My aunt's asking around because the pups are starting to get attached to each other so it'll be sad to split them apart later on. 

Anyone interested in adopting a puppy can leave me a message.

Meet Rascal Lee

This was Rascal two weeks ago.

Cute right? He wouldn't stop whining in the mini van so my brother insisted that we take another puppy so that he wouldn't be so lonely.

This is Rascal now.

He eats a lot and only knows how to sit when i raise my hand over his head or when he sees food coming. He's mischievous. We let him into the house a few times then started to train him to stay outside. But once in awhile he'll jump into the hall and sits at the edge to test and see if my mum will chase him out. Or he lays his head on the step and slowly puts one paw in and slowly the other paw in and finally his whole body in. 

Rascal's a scaredy-cat.

The first one to go running for his furry life.

He can be a bully too when it comes to food.

Meet Princess Lee

I couldn't snap any pictures of Princess when she first got here.

One because she was shy

Two Rascal kept headbutting in

It was mind scattering to find the right name for Princess at first.

My mum came up with OMG almost a dozen names...Lexie, Maxie, Coco, Minnie, Fifi....etc

All just didn't fit with her and then we notice how elegantly she behaves and decided to name her Princess.

Princess seems to be the shy and quiet one at first but once she and Rascal is alone at night playing by themselves, she becomes a loud mouth yapping/growling little pup. Yes she growls when she plays with Rascal. Sometimes in a scary way~ Princess won't drink much water unless it's scoop to her mouth, she eats slowly and stops when Rascal's head gets in the way, she won't come into the house at first unless Rascal goes in first, she has a funny way to catch things: she raises her paws high up and catch. She ALWAYS dips her paws into her water bowl.

Princess is lighter so she gets to be carried all the time

Sorry for being MIA here for awhile.
I finally finished my Mass Comm Research assignment paper last Friday.

~Damn happy it's over~

Then i gave myself a break and went out with my friends for the past whole week - which is why i'm damn broke when it's only middle of April. Gotta eat budget food next semester.

Then on 17th April - today, my friend said there's a pet exhibition at The Mines and asked whether i wanted to go. The lazy me wanted to just sleep at home and relax and not spend anymore money because i still have a birthday party to attend which will take place in Taos - a very expensive buffet restaurant in Damansara & another possible buffet in Jogoya - save up $$. Then the curious me wanted to go check it out since i've never seen a pet exhibition before. A wise choice was made and i was glad lazy me didn't take over.

We saw a lot of dog at The Mines that we don't usually get to see.

 These handsome pups/dogs are pure Alaskan Malamute breed - i think.

I've never seen this breed in real life before and today i did and PATTED one !!

Their fur is so thick and soft - like cotton !!

 At 14 months old they can grow to as big as a full grown German Shepperd and still keep GROWING !!

Royal Canin was the main organizer for this Pet Exhibition event.

They had a pet fashion show.

Some pets looked more stylish than their owners~

 But overall the Alaskan Malamutes were the best dogs i've ever seen.

Emergencies Happen

I've never been so desperate in my entire.......well not entirely the entire of my life...

I'm currently super exceedingly low on cash now so i thought I'd save money by doing 50 questionnaire in an online survey website...

But apparently not much "friends" paid attention to my plea for help.

Out of my 300+ friends on Facebook...i asked about 100 to help me but only 30 plus responded. I gave my thanks to them.

Premium Pork !!! Welcome to SANBANTO !!!

Hi, here's another VERY NON-HALAL restaurant ^^

I came across Sanbanto Cafe in Facebook from a high school senior of mine.

My friends and i were supposed to go to JOGOYA in KL's Star Gallery today.

But timing wasn't right so we had to reschedule again and Sanbanto was plan B.

Located in SS2/63, Petaling Jaya, Sanbanto is the one and only restaurant of it's kind. It is a cafe together with a butcher shop. Let's simply say you know your pork is FRESH !!

The cafe opens on every Tuesday to Sunday from 11.30am to 3pm and they take a 3 hour break and reopen again at 6pm to 10pm. But if you wanna buy fresh pork meat you can get them from 7am to 8pm. Mondays are closed.

A second branch is said to be coming soon in IOI Boulevard, Jalan Kenari 7, Bandar Puchong Jaya.

Sanbanto has a simple menu but the dishes they make are to die for.

Even though the prices are a bit high, but every bite you take is totally worth it.

Trust Me. *I know i've been saying TRUST ME a lot lately*

 Pork Belly Salad = RM 13 *Chef's Recommendation*

It was served generously with fresh green salads with fried fatty pork belly meat  and unions topped with a sweet & sour plum like sauce. The pork belly was not dry at all and with crunchy outer layer and it's soft and juicy inner layer, RM 13 is just too cheap for a bowl of healthy salad.

Sanbanto Bacon & Cheese Burger = RM17 *Chef's Recommendation*

You can never find a burger with patties as meaty and delicious as this. This burger is as close as you can get to an all American burger. This magnificent burger is made by buttering & toasting its buns on the inside, thick pork patty grilled to perfection, cheese and two crispy bacon & finishing off with tomato & salad inside and a bowl of fresh green salad and french fries as side dishes. This bacon & cheese burger in incomparable with Ninja Joe because SIZE DOES MATTER here. 

Cordon Bleu Spaghetti with Light Mushroom Sauce = RM25

*VERY SUPER NOT Chef's Recommendation !!!!!*

If you think you're gonna get a Cordon Bleu as big as they serve in Secret Recipe, then you better forget about it. The menu said a light mushroom sauce but i didn't expect it to be a WATERY mushroom sauce. And what's worse is that from my first bite, it was as if i ordered Hokkien Mee and decided to plate it nicely and add a couple of broccoli and a Cordon Bleu to make it presentable. And i paid RM25 for this !!!

Totally NOT worth it. I always make the wrong choices T.T

 BBQ Ribs = RM 38 *Chef's Recommendation*

Now this is what you can really call TOTALLY WORTH IT !!!

From the moment the this plate of desirable piece of BBQ rib touched the table, i knew i regretted ordering that "Hokkien Mee". 

You can just imagine how easy it is to slice through the meat and fats with just a butter knife. I saw my friend slicing her BBQ ribs like it was tofu !! It was that soft !!!

 
Oh man~ just look at the insides on the pork rib. Perfect white meat. I took a bite and went totally in love with Sanbanto because it is that TASTY !!! The fats just melts in your mouth and the meat just falls apart. And the BBQ sauce~ Mmm Mmm MMM !!!

I estimate the ribs' length is about 20cm. Let's not forget the side dishes that came along with the BBQ ribs, there were two corns, broccoli, carrots & mash potato. RM 38 is the appropriate price for a dish this size

Everyone should spoil themselves with delicious food once in a while. Just remember to go to the gym the next day ^^ I plan to go back one day and try the Braised Pork Knuckle (2 Pax), RM 45.
