Movie Freak

My plan of hanging out with my friends till late at night and abandoning my useless 17 year old brother at home to starve on maggi mee failed when my parents plan to go to Penang together failed.
I had it all planned out and that old man just had to ruin EVERYTHING !!!
It's not everyday i get my freedom to wander around at night.

And so my night became movie night.
My mum bought four movies from the DVD shop:
*I totally recommend these four movies*

If you're into the whole Greek mythology stuffs then you might enjoy this.
I like Hercules in Disney.
Especially Pegasus Hercules's horse with wings.

Anyway, Percy Jackson is a demigod, half god half human, son of Poseidon, God of the Ocean.
Percy is accused of stealing Zeus, his uncle's lightning bolt and is being chased by all kinds of mystical beings. His human mother is kidnap and Percy must travels to Hell to save her from his other uncle, Hades, God of the Underworld.

There's a bit of a comedic element in the movie.
Not too much not too little, just nice.
I'd give Percy Jackson a 4 STAR.

Percy Jackson is played by Logan Lerman.
Sorry i've never heard of him till now but i do know that he has a Youtube account he shares with a friend few years ago and they used to make short films together.
We will soon see Logan again in the pre-quel of Spiderman in Spiderman 4.

I'm a super fan of Vampire novels and movies.
There isn't much vampire scenes in The Vampire's Assistant but it's not bad.
I just bought the trilogy book at Popular just today.

Darren Shan is a normal good boy kid who leads a normal life with his best friend Steve. But everything changed when they went to a circus, Cirque Du Freaks.
During the performance, Steve recognizes a real life vampire named Larten Crepsley whose real name was Vur Horston. Steve has a desire to become a vampire because he hates his human life. He goes to seek Crepsley to turn him but he gets turned down because his blood is evil. Darren on the other hand had no choice because he stole Crepsley's pet spider and it bit Steve and poisoned him so Darren had to be turned into a half vampire and leave his human life in exchange for the antidote. Darren joined Cirque Du Freaks after faking his death and became the vampire's assistant.

I seriously strongly recommend this vampire movie if you're a fan.
It's funny and weird at some point but a great movie which didn't do any promotion here.
I'd give a 4 STAR for this vamp as well.

You know how old Robin Williams is?
Even i don't know.
I always mix up his name with Robbie Williams the singer.

If you're looking for some serious comedy then this is the movie you should watch. The jokes about grandpas' are hilarious and the scene about camping and golfing is out of the planet. I was laughing my ass out at 3am watching this.

Robin Williams plays Dan, a very very old dad who didn't know that his one night stand 7 years ago ended up popping out a couple of twins. Dan's best friend and business partner, Charlie, played by John Travolta is the reason of that one night stand. The twins, Zach and Emily's mum had to go to jail for two weeks so she had no choice but to seek Dan after 7 years to tell him the truth. Dan then offered to look after his two new 7 year olds after accidentally putting their aunt who was suppose to look after them in the hospital. Dan has two weeks to manage being a new dad of twins and close a big business deal with the Japanese along with his best buddy, Charlie who got dragged along.

A stunning 5 STAR for Robin Williams and John Travolta.

Ok i saved the best for last.
Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson plays ice hockey player, Derek Thompson who gets sentenced to a two week Tooth Fairy duties for breaking children's belief in fairy tales and dreams.

The Rock was wearing a pink dress with fairy wings on his back.
Omg i laughed worse when i was watching Old Dogs.

Derek's fairy duties are not like a schedule, they just appear whenever and wherever and when that happens, Derek's fairy wings pop out of his back without notice. His first mission to retrieve a boy's tooth was so hilarious. He became tiny to slip into the house and he got chased by a cat and he couldn't fly. Besides fairy duties, Derek still had a hockey career to maintain and a love life with his girlfriend and her two kid. But his fairy duties keep getting in the way and he almost lost everything.
But of course in the every movie it end with a happy ending.

The Rock made a wise choice to leave breaking bones in the wrestling ring and start breaking box offices.

Well it seems that Ms Hilary Duff is about to be a Mrs.
Boyfriend Mike Comrie, 29, the NHL ice hockey player proposed to Hilary, 22, during their recent vacation in Hawaii with a
14 karat princess cut diamond ring.
It's said to cost over $1,000,000.
Yes it's a 7 digit number.


They have been dating for the past two years and now that the big question is out and obviously Hilary's answer was "YES", the pair are also buying a marital home, a $10 million Beverly Hills mansion.
Looks like Mike Comrie's hockey games earned him a fortune.
Back in 2007 Mike bought Hilary a Mercedes worth $100,000 when they first started dating.


Let's hope they make it to death till us part
And don't end up in "Splitville" like the rest of the previously said to be "happy couples"

I didn't know that newly wed needs to give two ang pau.

QQ kept eating her CNY snacks like nothing
LX asked something about the birth and the conversation suddenly became awkward.
Lol all lx's fault and then i asked another stupid question and became more awkward and funny.

Stayed there until 6pm
Was raining heavily before that but we still left.
I had a party to attend to but my friend's hp die so i couldn't call her to open her house gate.
It was RAINING CATS & DOGS
So i went home...lx too...

Vamps Over Wolves~

I've been a movie freak for the past few days.
I went to Leisure Mall to watch The Wolfman yesterday.
The starting of the movie was pretty freaky because there was this little character that looked exactly like that scrawny little guy in LOTR who kept jumping out all of the sudden.

The make up for the werewolf was...err...it reminded me of Beast from X-Men.

The whole movie's really dark~
Not 'dark' dark kind of dark~

I still prefer vampire movies.
Vampires are more clean cut, elegant and graceful.
Werewolves are well, messy, dirty and hairy~ hahaha

UnderworldBoth Vamps and Wolves in the Underworld are the bad guys.
Both sides want the the other to die.

Van HelsingThe vampires in Van Helsing are obviously the enemy.
The werewolves didn't really play much in the movie.
Van Helsing turned into one during the final battle with the Vamp Boss.
Kate Beckinsale is also in the movie but she's a human.

Twilight SagaIn Twilight both sides win.

Valentines Day (Movie)

I went to watch Valentines Day today~
There weren't much people at the cinema today...
I think there's too many stories to tell in the movie...
Most of the actors have very limited scenes...

The most is probably Ashton Kutcher and Jennifer Garner who are best friends in the movie.
Ashton plays a florist who gets dumped by his girlfriend (Jessica Alba).
Jessica only have 5 short scenes in the whole movie~
Even Taylor Lautner and Taylor Swift had about 5 scenes and that's it.
Swift plays a kind of a dumb blonde and Lautner's the athlete who's dunb struck by Swift's looks.

Patrick plays a cardio surgeon.

Wedding Bells for Ed~

First and foremost,
Congratz to cousin, Edmund Lee and to his future bride, Emily.

He's my eldest cousin brother and we're just 7 years apart.
He has a brother same age as my older brother and a sister same age as me.
Me and my older brother used to play together with them all the time when we were kids.

Edmund was the one who liked to poke us and ask silly questions,
give me and his sister fake tuition lessons,
teach us how to dog paddle in the swimming pool,
order all of us the younger cousins to call the older cousins kor kor and jeh jeh,
lead the prank calls to our other cousins' house just to play with them
and of course the one who LOVED to rent all those Chinese 'keong si' movies and let us watch at night when we sleepover.

When we wake up in the morning his mum and dad would take all of us and squeeze into their Pajero and go to the mamak for breakfast.
Sometimes they would drop us back home and come back later to take us to The Mines Wonderland. We always went to the snow world there. There was a kid's slide made out of ice.
Sometime they would take us to Balakong to visit other uncles and aunties and we would get a lot of chocolates and if its CNY we would get extra extra ang paos.

My mum and dad used to live in the same house as Edmund's family.

And my mum sure had A LOT of stories to tell me and my brothers about Edmund when he was four. My mum and dad and bro moved out after i was born.

My family and his family spent the most time together compared with my other cousins' families.
And then he went off to England to study and later got a job there and stayed for a few years.
He came back, started his own business, and he popped the question to his girlfriend.

Im really happy for him and Emily.
I just hate that we all have to grow up sometime.

I don't know whether this is the very first stills of Eclipse or not because it wasn't stated.
I kinda don't remember a scene like this in the book.
But you gotta love the photography skills on the second picture.
Phew~ What an amaaaaazing picture...

Can you believe it's already the third ??
Breaking Dawn's still in pre-production...apparently they haven't decided how to shoot scenes of Reneeseme.
Should she be a real live baby girl or CGI ?
It'll probably take about a year to finish everything including post production stuffs...
But all of it is worth the wait...

I was skeptical "a bit" about Miley Cyrus when i first found out about her.
And i still am...just not so much anymore.
Hey any girl can do or be anything with a famous daddy beside her.
See what happened to Paris Hilton...

So i scraped all of Miley Cyrus's songs from my list to download and didn't really bother to even TRY to listen to them.
I did almost everything to not be interested in Miley...
Sorry to all Miley Cyrus fans...
Please don't kill me...

But i caved in the end...
I've watched a few of her Hannah Montana online...
I'm still not sure about her singing but i DO like her acting.
I think it's because of the country slang she's got...

She got another movie coming up in April called :
