8TV's Biggest Stupid Move

Omg I've been blogging for 3 consecutive days !!!
I just feel damn bersemangat to blog lately !!!

*Two hours later*

I've just lost my semangat-ness because i just watched a very racist advertisement in Facebook about Ramadan festival by 8TV.

The ad was about the 'buka puasa' bazaar and it showed a Chinese girl acting loud, too friendly, greedy, eating in public and wearing tight revealing clothings in front of all the "angelic" Malays. What the HELL was 8TV thinking ??? Who the HELL approved such ad ??? And how the HELL did they have the balls to air it !!!???

It has racism written allover it.
The way they portrayed Chinese in the ad is damn offending because how could they use a Chinese in their Ramadan ad? Why couldn't they use their own race to spread the message of respecting the Ramadan? If a Malay was cast to act disrespecting in a Deepavali or CNY ad, how to do you think Malays would react? The same damn way we Chinese are reacting towards this 8TV Ramadan ad !!!

You know Malaysia the "peaceful" country with many different races living together in "harmony"? It's all bullshit because 8TV just proved its all bullshit by approving of such racist ad. They removed the ad after people started to respond and published an "apology" for it.

The problem is, their "apology" was NOT an apology.
They were playing the blame-game.
"It is with much regret that there were misinterpretations in the PSA that were meant to serve only as a message of respect for the Ramadhan month. The message was not meant to offend anyone, race or creed in any way. This is an honest mistake involving a very small amount of humour that was misinterpreted which led to concerns"

An Honest Mistake?
A Very Small Amount of Humour??
Was Misinterpreted???

SERIOUSLY !!???
Are they seriously trying to say the public is making a big deal out of the ad?
Are they seriously trying to say its supposed to be a funny ad?
Are they seriously trying to avoid responsibility of their stupid decision?

This just spoiled my night because i was planning on blogging about a new stage play in UCSI this coming Friday and its newly opened cafe and European bread stall but this issue just ruined everything.
A sneak peak

Three Most Wanted Italian Men

From Left:
Piero Barone, Gianluca Ginoble, Ignazio Boschetto

The talented trio recently debuted as a teen pop-opera group.
They had a showcase in Malaysia on the 30th of July 2011 at the Bentley Music Auditorium in Mutiara Damansara.

My friend said the showcase was free so why waste a free live show? My friend booked our free tickets online and then on Saturday we took off to Damansara, just like the time we always took off for Protemp. The best part was we got lost because we didn't know where the hell was the Bentley Auditorium.

(FYI - The Bentley Music Auditorium is opposite Tesco and beside either The Curve or IKEA. Im not sure but it's there, NOT near 1Utama)

We arrived just in time, got our tickets, waited in the crowd of both old and young fans of Italian meat music and finally at 5.30PM the showcase started.

We didn't expect much people to be there because the crew person that was holding our reserved tickets called a couple times to confirm whether we were coming. So we thought they were trying to get as much audience as possible. To our surprise the auditorium was jam packed with kids, teen, adults and even grandparents.

Once Il Volo came on stage, the girls in front went *girlie screams: "AHHHHHHHHHHH"*
And then once the lyrics came out of their mouths, everyone went OMFG because it was deep, manly, soothing, and completely relaxing to listen to. My friend said Gianluca has a playboy look, Piero has a nerdy look, and Ignazio has a cute baby boy look.

They sang so awesomely even we new listeners fell in love with their voices.
1. Il Mundo
2. The Time
3. Smile
4. Painfully Beautiful
5. O' Sole Mio

After that they sang in acapella and wow the crowd went wild.
6. Il Mundo (snippet)
7. E'la Mia Vita (snippet)

Although the showcase was short but damn they were hot.
Gianluca was sending electricity throughout the whole show and omg the girls in front were nuts. And when i say 'girls' i meant generally females of all ages.

I came home a couldn't get their song "O Sole Mio" out of my head.
Piero and Ignazio's voices are very powerful while Gianluca sang those low pitch kinda parts which sounded damn romantic and was like getting serenade by him~ We were lucky to get free tickets to see them. I can't upload the video i recorded here. If you're my friend on Facebook u can watch it there if not wait for me to upload it into Youtube ^^

Ciao

What Intercultural Night?

Yes my question is 'What intercultural night?'

UCSI's so called intercultural night on the 29th of July and do you wanna know what happened?

Live Singing !!
Live Bands !!
Live Dance Performances !!
Live Sucky Security !!
Live RACIAL FIGHTS !!!

WTH right??
The irony of having an "INTERCULTURAL NIGHT"

First of all, the security sucked.
At the reception floor, at the MPH floor and during the event !!
I hated the security especially at the reception floor.
Please la if you wanna act like a bouncer, eat until you look like a pig and go to a club.
Intercultural night? Did you see the faces of the security? Especially the bitch at the reception floor didn't get the message of the event because her eyes and treatment we got made us feel like WE'RE the terrorist getting ready to carry a freaking bomb into the MPH in our little tiny bags !!!

The event started nicely.
The performances were awesome.
And then securities started to gather beside me and my friends.
There was a guy that was refusing to leave the MPH.
The fat security guy started shouting, started asking for his ticket, called UCSI's security, started shouting "CALL THE POLICE !!! CALL THE POLICE !!!" And then he just walked away.

Then into the Indonesian live band performance,
(one of the best performance of the night)
The international students started fighting.
Security dragged the ones responsible away to the exit but they had to get through the crowd...then chaos happened and the guy's buddies came running for him. Big commotion kepochi students started leaving their seats to kepo what happened and the Indo band had to stop in the middle of their performance. UCSI staffs had to take charge for a second to get things back to normal. What happened to the "tight airport security"??

Then the next day photos of the event was posted in facebook.
Someone "accused" my friend who took the photos of being racist against some of the international race because there wasn't a picture of them in the album.

That idiot must have never uploaded pictures in Facebook before because if he did then he'll know that 1 album can only fit 200 photos. And God knows when that race performed !!! China didn't have their performance pictures in album 1 and they didn't throw accusations of being racist !!!

The word 'Intercultural' was all a joke.
The event was a joke.

Never Piss Your Lecturer Off

I had to open my big mouth by telling my friend that i never had any dramas happened to me before. Around one month after that, a big explosion of a pissed off lecturer happened.

A class of mine was suppose to write a journal of her weekly lectures so like the lazy students we were, we didn't do it on a weekly basis. Most of us started writing the damn journal one week before submission. Then one of my classmates suggested opening a Facebook group page for everyone to post the information of what the lecturer taught in class. I thought he was joking until i was invited into the group two days later.

The group was fun. Everyone in there was chatting, sharing the weekly teachings, helping each other to understand what was being taught, and just being typical university students complaining how ridiculous the journal and lecturer was.

The day i submitted my journal was the happiest day of this semester.

THEN

Two days after the journal was over, everyone from class received an email from the lecturer.
She was P.I.S.S.E.D~
Damn P.I.S.S.E.D~
Over the top P.I.S.S.E.D~
So P.I.S.S.E.D until i can't stop imagining her face of being P.I.S.S.E.D

Some supernatural way she found out about our 'secret group' on Facebook and she typed a super long email with many CAPITAL letters, question & exclamation marks !!!

I don't see the problem of having the group. Everyone thinks the same way. The group was created for us to help each other and for crying out loud its a JOURNAL !!! We type whatever we want !!!

My lecturer was so pissed that she doesn't want to see any of us until class time, she cancelled all appointments made to see her, she forwarded the due date for our final assignment report and she'll probably kill every single student in class on Tuesday morning.

Because of this problem, i missed going to the MTV World Stage in I-City, Shah Alam~ The bloody pig dating spot with hundreds and thousands of fake trees killing the earth. My car's radiator overheated there last year because of the traffic jam. Every freaking human was going to I-City so the jam started from the highway all the way in and out of the freaking place. I never wanted to go back there until i heard the MTV World Stage.

B2ST WAS THERE !!!!

My friend said they're coming back to Malaysia again at the end of this year
They must really love Malaysia because it'll be their 4th visit in one year
I hope i have time to go again because i'm doing my internship at that time
Damn i have to save up for the concert again

I want them to perform their duets !!!
DooJoon & DongWoon's 'When the door closes'
YoSeob & JunHyung's 'Thank You'
GiKwang & HyunSeung's 'Let it Snow'

I still can't believe I'm into K-Pop~
The power of influence is truly strong ^^

Wanna see something 'Nice'?
Of course you do~
You might have seen it if you're a B2ST fan but for those who isn't...^^
OMG im not pintai ok !!! ^^

Update~

I haven't been feeling the enthusiasm or excitement to blog lately.
Even now there's not much for me to say here.
Let's see what happened since the last time i blogged.

I unintentionally pissed my damn gay lecturer with tiny deflated balls. He got me back by grouping me with a very bitchy international student with a controlling complex for an assignment. Fine bitch! I showed him i can work with that controlling freak and get through the assignment. No wonder all my seniors said all juniors always likes him at the beginning but when they become seniors they all end up hating him. My seniors were damn right about it ! Can't blame us for hating him if he's that "siu hei".

I know i've blogged about considering the feelings of an outsider joining your group of friends for an assignment, that still applies if that outsider actually tries to contribute, isn't late for meetings, doesn't play with her handphone during discussions, doesn't pick the easiest job for an assignment and complain about how hard it is to write a one page introduction and conclusion !!!
There's this infamous free loader in UCSI among my batch of students. Do you know how many cheerful faces changed to pitiful faces once my friends and i mentioned that we're a group with that free loader? They changed so fast even Superman's super-speed would seem like slow motion. That bitch free loads in every group assignment so please tell me what's the point of coming to study if you just leech on other people's work?
My group got stuck with that bitch because our lecturer grouped us according to our ID number. We had a chance to swap members but that bitch refused to be swapped and NOBODY WANTED TO SWAP FOR HER !!! SERIOUSLY !!! She's always an hour late for discussion, and the only contribution she gives is agreeing to everything we discuss. She's only doing a one page introduction and conclusion and she dares to complain what's taking so long for each of our 20 pages parts to be done. THE FUCKING NERVE !!! I couldn't stand being near her after that. I hope she FAILS  BECAUSE SHE DAMN WELL DESERVES IT !!!

My Seminar class had to organize an event relating to the 1Malaysia theme thingy. We didn't have a choice because our lecturer gave it to us. We paid RM2,500 for this one subject that requires us to organize an event by ourselves, without any money, our lecturer just checks up on our progress once a month and that's it. We paid RM2,500 for this.
It sucks that we have to pay for this subject but during the event day it was unforgettable. We planned a two day event; a multiracial food fair ranging from local Malay, Chinese & Indian food/snacks to international Indonesian, Vietnamese & African food/snacks and a stage play about unity. The stage play was hilarious because even though the topic was about unity, but the script was more comedic then seriousness and that was why to was a success. Everyone in Seminar was amazing and it was kinda sad when our stage play ended because it marked the end of our show. I won't forget being part of something this cool.

The 1st B2ST Fan Meeting Asia Tour *Malaysia*

I told you B2ST would be back
They came
They wooed
They conquered

Malaysian fans were seen demanding for more of these six hot Korean young boys to make them feel good and damn i know i sound damn wrong ^^

B2ST members, Yoon Doo Joon, Jang Hyun Seung, Yong Jun Hyung, Yang Yo Seob, Lee Gi Kwang & 'maknae' Son Dong Woon - made Malaysia their 1st stop to begin their Asia Tour
The entrance to Sunway Surf Beach were packed with nearly 99.99% of girls ranging from an estimate age of 13 to 30 years old. That was for the PS1 Zone & Rock Zone.

The water was drained out of the surf beach so that thy could build the stadium. We seriously thought they were gonna turn the pipes on and get us wet during the show. Wouldn't mind if Gikwang's white T got soaked and became transparent !!!

Unlike January's Digi K-Pop Party where we waited outside of Stadium Negara from 4AM just so we could get a better spot inside, waiting for almost 16hours was our limit so this time my friends and i decided to just go throw it all out and get the VIP ticket (RM388 + tax). We didn't have to wait in line like those 99.99% little girls outside the entrance because we had numbered seats so we could go in anytime.

My friends and i hung out in Sunway Pyramid until 7pm and got in the surf beach at around 7.45pm. I didn't know the surf beach would be so cool !! The last time i was there was 15 years ago - i think.

B2ST's amazing loyal fans.
The building behind is the Pyramid and Sunway Hotel.

B2ST arrived without delay and the show began at 8.30PM

Introducing B2ST / BEAST

Leader - Yoon Doo Joon (Rapper)
Jang Hyun Seung (Vocalist)
Yong Jun Hyung (Rapper)
Yang Yo Seob (Vocalist)

Lee Gi Kwang (Vocalist)
Son Dong Woon (Vocalist)

B2ST kicked off the show by performing 'Special' followed by 'Soom'.
After that the emcee of the night, Owen Yap, appeared and started the short fan meeting. A lot of talking and stuffs. DongWoon talked a lot because i guess he the only one with better English skills compared to his five 'hyungs'. YoSeob wanted in on the fun so he started blabbering stuffs too which was super cute ^^

They answered six fan questions - one turned out to be very sweet,
Found out they remember mostly about Malaysian food,
Spoke some BM to them,
Gave DooJoon a surprise early birthday celebration,
Played games with another six damn lucky fans.

B2ST performed roughly 9 songs throughout the show:
SPECIAL
BREATH/SOOM
BEAUTIFUL
SHOCK
RAINY DAY
FICTION
OASIS
LIKE YOU MOST
V.I.U

I was satisfied because i got to see all six of them performing together
I wasn't satisfied because the Singaporeans got to see Gikwang's abs and not Malaysians !
I'll see you again the next time you come visit B2ST !!!

Dine at Euro House

The first time I ate pasta, I hated it.
That was like 15 years ago and i can't remember whether my mum made it or my aunt.
But i do remember the taste and it wasn't pleasant.

After that i never took a bite from pasta until around 5 years ago because i kept thinking that all pastas would taste just like what i ate when i was 5. Its some sort of brain defense thing. Like once you get bit by a dog, you'll never go near one ever again.

But there is no dog in this, just me and my pasta.
I think i took my first bite of pasta after so many years was probably during high school. After that it was pasta pasta pasta pasta pasta~ I even tried to cook my own pasta. There were some good pastas cooked and some horrible pastas cooked.

And then until a couple of months ago, i found Euro House.
Sitting quietly in the row of shops in Mahkota with its big blue signboard.
Who would have thought in such a secluded area would have such amazing dishes to offer.

 Euro House in Bandar Mahkota
Located behind row of shops in front of Jusco Mahkota
You can't miss the big blue sign board
Open from 11.30-3.00pm & 6pm-9.30pm

Seafood Risotto - RM19.90
Prawn, Clamp, Squid, Muscle in chili tomato sauce....Mmmmm~ simply to die for. And they serve a good portion to their customers.

Galeto V.... (An italian name for this dish) - RM24.90
Chicken Breast in Mozzarella cheesy sauce and mushrooms and greens~

Mozzarella in Caroz...something something - RM13.90
This is like an appetizer before the main dish. Its baguette bread with mozzarella cheese in between with a tomato puree sauce on top. Simply appetizing~

Roasted Chicken - (Promotion Price) RM9.90
Don't be deceive by the price because it taste fabulously yummy and the chicken is tender to the bone. There are sides of mash potato and greens and a delicious black pepper muchroomie sauce.

Risotto Al Fungi - RM17.90
Al Fungi is a mushroom dish and i just love the texture of the risotto with it. Its creamy but not too creamy. Just right. Worth all your RM17.90.

Fettuccine Salmon Pasta - RM19.90
Im not a salmon person but i ate this salmon. It tasted a bit funny at first but i got over it.

Tiramisu - RM7.90
Honestly the Tiramisu wasn't very yummy. Maybe it was my bad day to choose it~ The taste isn't bad just it was kinda frozen in the middle a bit.
