A 3D2N Trip to Malacca - 17 - 19 June 2011

The last time i had a vacation was probably...*gasp*...my Popular Culture trip to Taman Negara LAST YEAR in May !!! Unless if you wanna count the couple times i slept over at my friend's house during my internship last Nov-Dec. Other than that, i live a lifeless life.

My college friends and i have been talking about going on trips for almost a year now. So far it was all just talk because we have assignments, our timetable clashes, we have someone's birthday to attend to, we don't have a car, and lastly and sadly - we don't have money.

Then FINALLY, one of my high school friend's 21st birthday was coming up and she wanted it to be different so we planned a trip to Malacca. We aren't usually this active or spontaneous but i guess there comes a time when we just have to go for it *I think my AMW lecturer's way of words are getting to me*.

I'm not gonna keep rambling like an old lady,
Enjoy the pictures and get a gist of what we did there for 3 days.

Day 1

Afternoon view of a clear Jonker Street
Jonker Street's main tourist eating spots.

 Taming Sari Tower
RM20 (RM10 for MyCard holders)
 It was so cool.

The Night View was so awesome !!

Day 2
This is the day we got sunburned ^^

Christ Church a.k.a major tourist attraction spot.
There's a bazaar right beside the church.

The beach had strong winds so we bought a RM20 kite to play.

We stayed to see the sunset
It'll be a waste if you didn't try Nyonya food when you're in Malacca.
 Cincalok Omelet
 Asam Pedas Fish
I forgot the name of this dish ^^
I do know its chicken wrap
Pongteh Chicken
Three of us spent RM75 for Day 2's dinner.

 Day 3
We wanted to try the other Nyonya Restaurant, Ole Sayang - but it opens at 11.30.
So we crossed the busy streets of Melaka Raya 3 times looking for somewhere to eat and ended going to Brother John, its like OldTown, PapaRich, Hailam Kopitiam all that~

'X' Marks the Spot

If you haven't watch this
Super-Awesome-Die-Die-Must-Watch
X-Men First Class,

WHAT THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN DOING??
GO WATCH IT !!!

When i saw the trailer last year, i didn't have any high expectations for this movie because all the characters are new faces, the X-Men trilogy had already ended with the death of Professor X, and there is no Hugh Jackman - I'll get back to this later.

Then as the dates started closing in, I began feeling curious about the movie. After First Class started screening in theaters, friends kept talking about how awesome the movie was. Before this was all about Pirates of the Caribbean IV.

So i threw out all my doubts about the movie,
Went to Leisure Mall after my class,
Bought the movie tickets,
Ate breakfast at WongKok,
Stepped into the cinema at 12pm,
And was completely taken by the scale of the movie.

WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU STILL WAITING FOR ??
BOOK THE TICKETS !!

X-Men: First Class is the prequel of the X-Men trilogy.
It's focuses on how Charles Xavier became Professor X and how Erik Lehnsherr became Magneto.

It's obviously not filmed in our modern time.
It began in 1944 when Charles and Erik were boys in Britain and Russia and transitions to 1962 when they become young adults. Charles is a professor studying mutation biology and Erik is hunting down the man that killed his mother, Sebastian Shaw, real name - Klaus.
(VAMPIRE DIARIES SEASON 3 !!!! I CAN'T WAIT FOR IT !!!)

Shaw is trying to start a World War 3 between America and Russia.
The CIA recruits Charles, Charles saves, befriend and joins forces with Erik, together they recruit young mutants to fight Shaw. But Erik has his own agenda - kill Shaw, declare the beginning of war against the humans and officially become Magneto.

Charles became paralyze because Erik was deflecting gunshot bullets fired by an ally CIA agent. He swatted the bullets left and right and funnily swat it at Charles' back - spine.

This cute guy here is Nicholas Hoult and he acts as the Mutant-Nerd-Scientist-Who-Accidentally-Had-A-Mutation-Enhancement-And-Became-Beast.
He looked so NERD in the movie and then i googled his name and "POP" came out hottie-with-abs-and-bad-boy-sometimes-cute-boy-looking.

Remember i said i'll get back to you about Hugh Jackman?

Well get this,

SPOILER !!!

HUGH
JACKMAN
IS
IN
THE
MOVIE
!!!

He only had one scene when Charles and Erik were recruiting mutants and they tried to recruit him but the only line Wolverine had was: "Go Fuck Yourselves"

Yes I'm dead serious because i was surprised myself to see him in the movie.
So Marvel fan or not, this is a movie you shouldn't be watching on your computer screen or a cheap DVD you bought from pasar malam. It should to on the big screens !

I SAID GO !!!

Rural Mind Set of Certain Women

To my understanding, Malaysia's Wawasan 2020 is some sort of deadline for the idea of moving out of the old ways and into the modern times.

But sometimes some idiots just do things and make all the efforts of other people go down the freaking drain so fast you'd think its Christmas already.

Keep husbands sexually satisfied to curb infidelity, says wives club (click to read article)

Please, if anybody is reading my blog,
Please tell me if this title itself isn't offending and demeaning towards women??
Just wait after you've read the article.

How would you (female) feel if your husband/boyfriend cheats on you and everybody says its your fault, not the males. If you don't satisfy their sexual need then they automatically get the license to fuck someone else. The husbands are the victims so its not their fault if they wanna find a prostitute.

What if the the husband is just fed up with his wife? They can use this as an excuse to go fuck around and put the blame on the wives. This is so degrading !!! So humiliating !!! So disgraceful !!! So bloody unfair !!!!

Obviously the founders of this "Club" had their husbands cheated on them so they're punishing all women. Do they know what century is this??
